‘Wonderboy’ laid it all out there in a post-fight interview with Daniel Cormier. ‘DC’ asked him if the fight was as he had expected.

Thompson replied, “A 100% man. The guys got reach for days. I knew he was gonna be hard to get. So I had to use my timing, my distance management, to get on the inside and, of course, good timing.” He further added, “My last two performances, I lost to grapplers. I wanted to show the UFC and fans ‘Wonderboy’ is still here.”

He capped off the night by saying that he still felt like a 25-year-old and he is in there for the long run.
