Hulk Hogan was no exception. Over a lifetime spent slamming and tossing countless opponents, he found himself embroiled in several controversies that gained considerable traction. While speculating on the possible causes behind his close friend’s passing, Ric Flair stated on the Double Coverage podcast, “I talked to him the day before he died. I shouldn’t say this, but what killed him was street drugs. When the doctor wouldn’t prescribe any more, he was in so much pain. And he had that neck surgery, and it got infected, so back in the hospital.”

Ms. Hogan, who married the WWE icon two years ago, acknowledged how the media may have likely twisted Flair’s earlier comments. “I’m not sweating this media thing,” she said, adding, “I know how they love to twist things up and take one sentence out of context in an interview to make a headline.”

Earlier, at the time of Hulk Hogan’s death, reports stated that he died of an acute myocardial infarction, otherwise commonly called a heart attack. According to a post-mortem report filed by his primary care physician, Hogan had a ‘history of atrial fibrillation and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), a cancer of the blood and bone marrow.’

In her message, Sky Hogan concluded by saying she knew Hulk always loved Ric and that Ric loved him back. Hopefully, Flair gets the chance to clear the air when he sits down with Joe Rogan.
