Sean O’Malley went up against Aljamain Sterling at UFC 292 and clinched the belt away. It was then that ‘Suga’ reportedly made about $1.43 million. A large sum for any individual, O’Malley kept going and now has secured a unanimous decision win over Marlon ‘Chito’ Vera.

In an Instagram post, he commended Vera for his unbreakable chin that tanked a brutal knee from the champ in the second round. He also told his fans of his “successful” Miami trip. Many estimated that this time around, just for being the champion and bringing in so many eyes to the fight, O’Malley would probably earn at least $2 million. While his official earnings have not been disclosed, they’re easily over a million dollars.

It is known, however, that O’Malley earned about $42,ooo for his Promotional Guidelines Compliance at the UFC. This is a payout based on the promotion’s multi-year Venum deal that pays fighters based on the number of bouts in the promotion.
