Tim Welch just triggered Merab Dvalishvili during UFC 306, when the fight was going on between him and Sean O’Malley. Dvalishvili was so triggered by what O’Malley’s coach said that he even stopped the round midway! Even though the Georgian fighter was triggered, he continued for the next four rounds and successfully won the fight.

This message was disrespectful to the new champion. ‘The Machine’ was a powerful wrestler through and through and proved that he is wrestling would be a threat to his opponent. However, the usually calm Dvalishvili got into an argument with Tim Welch.

Tim Welch triggered Dvalishvili

After UFC 306 concluded, Dvalishvili sat down for a conversation with the media at the post-press conference. He was extremely happy because he was the new Bantamweight champion but he was also upset about what had happened inside the octagon.

Tim Welch was trying to break his concentration by continuously trash-talking from Sean O’Malley’s side. Something like this would not go overlooked in a football or a basketball match. However, the fighter had to take matters into his own hands and started talking back, and the referee had to intervene.

He recalled the incident, “He was doing the same thing like he was doing very disrespectful way. “Merab, you gotta go.” He was talking s**t about me, and I told him to stop it. Nobody was telling him to stop; he just kept doing this, and if you do the same thing in basketball or soccer, they will do disqualification for you. But I guess he had not, and that’s why I was… I tell the referee I’m sorry.”

However, ultimately, the Georgian succeeded in winning the belt, and now he is the new champion. What do you think is going to happen for O’Malley next?
