Joe Rogan is arguably one of the biggest podcasters in the world and hosts The Joe Rogan Experience. Although he’s a star, Rogan has previously come under fire for spreading misinformation regarding the COVID-19 vaccine. To prevent issues like these from happening in the future, Spotify revealed that it would form a “Spotify Safety Advisory Council.”

Spotify announced on its website yesterday that the firm has taken a new initiative by forming a safety council to tackle how it handles problems like misinformation and offensive content. The primary aim of this council is to make decisions regarding content moderation and implement policies that help with it.

Our council members will advise our teams in key areas like policy and safety-feature development as well as guide our approach to equity, impact, and academic research.”
