Athletes who lack discipline and later pay a heavy price for it mar the sports industry. However, this picture stands true for every person associated with sports and then suffers repercussions due to their unhealthy eating habits. Prominent sports journalist Stephen A. Smith also fell into the same bracket until he resolved to bring drastic but positive changes to his lifestyle. Besides, another person played a significant part in his transformative journey, UFC president Dana White.

The famed American TV personality didn’t instill the habit of discipline initially, and it became more demanding with age. In addition, the excessive consumption of sugar and fast food also exacerbated the health issues. Smith realized the gravity of the problems that plagued him when contracting COVID almost killed him. That turned out to be his wake-up call, and he then started prioritizing health over wealth.
