Sean O’Malley put an end to Aljamain Sterling‘s two-year-long reign as the bantamweight champion at UFC 292. He also defeated ‘Funk Master’ in style by registering a TKO finish. However, things weren’t so bling for ‘Suga’ during the early days of his MMA career. He once shaved his eyebrows to earn some money and the fans have reacted to it on social media.

The 28-year-old bantamweight fighter quickly rose to fame after he started fighting in the UFC by appearing on Dana White‘s contender series. Having suffered only one defeat, O’Malley successfully captured the bantamweight title at UFC 292, which was also his first-ever title fight in the promotion.

However, there was once a time when Sean O’Malley didn’t really have much money. Compared to the millions of dollars he’s earning now, early in his MMA career, he was willing to do anything to earn some money. In a resurfaced story about his past, ‘Suga’ once attempted a dare, which involved him shaving his eyebrow to earn $50.

$50 dollars is not a lot, but Sean O’Malley needed that money and even shared a post after winning the amount. ESPN shared a post on their Instagram handle talking about his rags-to-riches story. Let’s take a look at what the fans had to say about that instance from the new bantamweight champion’s life.
