However, his celebrations were cut short as his controversial knee to his opponent’s groin upset the fans. Despite the dominating display and a resounding debut win, the wrestler found himself in the negative limelight. Besides, Picklett’s manager, LaMont Chappel, appealed against the decision as he contested the controversial knee which led to the submission.

The 27-year-old notably defended his case when he appeared on the latest segment of Ariel Helwani’s The MMA Hour. While he shared his surreal debut experience, he also addressed the claims that clouded his victory.

The 4-0 record holder mentioned Pickett wasn’t upset about the knee, instead, it was his manager. Further, he recalled how Pickett hyped and praised him after the closure of the fight.
