The host, Joe Rogan, shares his hot takes, expresses personal opinions, and discloses some unheard stories on the podcast. Thus keeping the MMA fans entertained. In a recent podcast episode, the UFC commentator shared the wisdom of staying true and keeping the head straight.

In episode #1881, the color commentator welcomed the famous record producer, Rick Rubin. The duo discussed and touched upon every genre and hence kept the fans hooked. In addition to Rick Rubin’s house-burning incident, hip-hop origin, Eminem, and wrestling, the duo discussed how celebrities eventually lose their sanity because of their celebrity status.

Further, Rogan opened up about his method of staying sane and finding one’s voice as an artist midst of the popularity chaos.

In the podcast, Joe Rogan discussed the problems artists face as they hit celebrity status, and thus, instead of growing, they try to sell what the audience might like. Thus, losing their voice and identity as an artist.

While sharing the mic with Rubin, the former ‘Fear Factor’ host discussed the repercussions of leaning on the audience. Thus, he said, “You lean into your audience; you lean into what you think that they want to hear and then you become them.”

Following this, Rubin inquired about how Rogan stayed true to his comedian’s voice after he achieved success. He thus asked, “How do you, um, stay true to your voice as a comedian through success? Through the ups and downs of doing it?”

To this, Joe Rogan mentioned the two things he did. He replied, “One thing I do is I don’t read anything that anybody says about me. That helps and two is, uh, I spent a lot of time alone.

Further, Rogan added that he spent a lot of time alone and did his workout similarly. Additionally, he focused on doing activities alone, like the sauna and cold plunge, and even writing.

Rogan continued, “I spent a lot of time just thinking and not thinking about what people think about me, just thinking about what I like, and what’s interesting.”

Lastly, Joe Rogan, 55, pointed out one thing he did in particular i.e. workouts. He explained that workouts tempered and kept him sane. Because of their brutal and hard nature, everything else looked easy to Rogan.

The famous TV presenter concluded, “I think that’s something that’s missing from a lot of people’s lives.” Rogan appeared content with his solutions and declared that his solutions worked best for him.
