But it seems that the next generation of Dagestani fighters are ready to take on the mantle, with Khabib’s cousin Umar Nurmagomedov calling out Merab Dvalishvili. Umar Nurmagomedov is a bantamweight fighter in the UFC, with an impressive record of 16-0.

Meanwhile, Merab Dvalishvili is a Georgian fighter who is currently ranked #3 in the bantamweight division. He has a record of 16-4-0 and has recently defeated Petr Yan.

Umar‘s callout of Dvalishvili was a bold move, with the fighter saying “White Papakha vs. Black Papakha. I hope they will accept this fight”. A papakha is a traditional hat worn by fighters from the Caucasus region, and the tweet was a clear reference to the fighters’ shared cultural heritage.
