UFC star Robert Whittaker is on a hunt for his next Octagon opponent. While the middleweight fighter missed the opportunity to fight before the home crowd at UFC 284, he eagerly waits for the next challenge. However, the murmurs of him facing Khamzat Chimaev have gained traction recently. Despite all these rumors, another significant name pops out, although with slim possibilities. The former UFC champion Conor McGregor, who has added bulk to his frame since his last outing, appears to set the Octagon on fire with his move up to 170 lbs. Significantly, while the moving up of the Irishman is also not a foregone conclusion, the Auckland native has a methodical mind about his fighting division.

Appearing before the UFC 284: Q&A session, ‘The Reaper’ graced the stage with fellow UFC stars such as Tai Tuivasa. Notably, in response to a curious fan, the 32-year-old rejected the possibility of moving down a division.

The 24-6 record holder in the interaction was quizzed on the possibility of squaring off against the ‘Mystic Mac’. Markedly, the fan informed the return of McGregor at 170 lbs. Following this question, ‘Bobby Knuckles’ straightaway denied the possibility of cutting the weight. Further, he reminded the fan of his heavy frame hilariously.

Hence, the former UFC champion said, “No, no I am not because have you seen the size of me, brother? Look at these arms, mate.”

However, the persistent fan followed with the probability of ‘red panty night’ with the ‘Notorious’.

Whittaker maintained his cheerful persona and continued to decline the same. Lastly, he added, “I would have to. I would have to stop eating from now to make that weight division. Like there’s just no way. There’s no way.”
