Will  Tom Aspinall and Jon Jones fight? Well, for Dana White, it’s a yes, as he had stated that this can happen 100%, but for ‘Bones’? It’s a completely vague gameplay of words. He did mention in a recent fan comment that he had revealed his decision to UFC, but what is that decision?

As Jones is busy in Thailand with another fight program similar to The Ultimate Fighter, Aspinall is busy keeping himself sharp for a sudden fight matchup. Meanwhile, he just updated that he was about to spill huge news on 28th May. However, he updated saying, “Guys, it’s not fight news,” on Instagram. The Brit who has become the longest reigning interim champ, now thanks to Jones, updated on his decision instead.

Aspinall gave a huge update as per TNT and said, “Same as always, I’ll fight anybody, just send the option my way, I will say yes. I am pretty easygoing in that regard, I am here to fight people, I am not here to do. I mean, we have been doing a bit of media stuff recently, but that’s only cause I am not fighting. Give me a fight, I will say yes, and that’s it, the opponent is regardless.”

Aspinall is at the prime time of his career right now at 32, and Jones is 37 with an undisputed heavyweight champion label to his name. Naturally, Aspinall has more to achieve, and this is the perfect age to do so. His demand for a fight with any of the top dogs is a valid decision right now. However, this does not mean he stopped trolling Jones to rile him up for a potential bout.

Tom Aspinall uniquely mocks Jon Jones

“Sorry guys, I’m fighting for a new belt. Interim of the interim BMF UFC heavyweight title, Living my best life.” Tom Aspinall wrote on social media recently. For some, this news might have felt real, and they thought that Aspinall was talking about his next fight. But others realized it to be a joke for Jones. This retort was aimed at Jones, who had claimed to fans, “I’m living my absolute best life. I don’t know if it’s considered ducking when you’re living well. I don’t think it works like that.”

This got the fans riled up, but later, Aspinall clarified it was not the most anticipated news they wanted. He wrote, “UFC announces my fights, guys, not me.” Fans were so agitated by Jones and his attitude that they started a petition to strip Jones of his title. Guess what? It already has 60,000 signatures! Jones shared his reaction on an Instagram comment. “The equivalent to pico grams [LAUGHS],” Jones commented. ‘Bones’ gave a reference to a controversy from his own career. Earlier in his tenure at UFC, he tested positive for tiny traces of a banned performance-enhancing substance. The positive test made the UFC move an event from Las Vegas to California after the Nevada State Athletic Commission refused to allow Jones to compete.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Jon Jones dodging Tom Aspinall, or is he just living his 'best life'?

Have an interesting take?

Coming back to the present scenario, who will Aspinall fight then? The heavyweight division is in a slump because of this huge holdup by Jones, so what will be the final verdict?
