Astonishingly, the ambitious billionaire, Elon Musk seemingly concurred with what the fighter had to say. The musicians leaving the platform didn’t only disappoint the fighter, but also Musk.
Elon Musk agreed with the former UFC fighter, Jake Shields
Recently, Jake Shields took to Twitter and talked about the musicians, Trent Reznor and Jack White, walking out of the social media platform. He wrote, “Trent Reznor and Jack White both quit twitter. I find it odd the majority of Punk, Rock, and Metal bands are opposed to free speech.”

Furthermore, he added, “I still think they are both great musicians but extremely disappointing.”

Surprisingly, the greatest entrepreneur of the era, Elon Musk, agreed with the words of Shields. He affirmed and wrote, “Indeed” in the comments. Although, many would point toward Musk’s reign over Twitter which made the artists flee the social media platform.
The musicians explain why they left
In an interview with ‘The Hollywood Reporter’, the synth-pop artist, Reznor revealed that it was the hostile environment of Twitter and Musk’s acquisition that made him leave. He said, “We don’t need the arrogance of the billionaire class to feel like they can just come in and solve everything. Even without him involved, I just find that it has become such a toxic environment. For my mental health, I need to tune out. I don’t feel good being there anymore.”

Additionally, Jake White wrote a really long explanation of why he deactivated his record label on Instagram. Although the musician never had a personal account on Twitter, he operated via Third Man Records, his record label. He was indeed unhappy with Donald Trump’s return to Twitter.

His final words in the open letter to Musk were, “You took on a big responsibility with your purchase, and “free speech” isn’t some umbrella that protects you from that.”
