However, before the start of the fourth round, the doctor checks on Figueiredo’s eye, which was swollen shut. The official endorsed that the fight be stopped. The fight between Moreno and Figueiredo was already filled with tension, given their previous encounters. Moreno stated, “I don’t have nothing to clear with him. I don’t hate the guy, I respect the guy. He said I’m a traitor, but I just want to say when I went with Joseph Benavidez, it was for necessity. When I did that I was alone, I didn’t have my team in Tijuana, my team in Arizona was training with other guys, and I was alone.

Moreno emphasized that his decision to train with Benavidez was a necessity and a professional move, driven by the need to provide for his family. He made it clear that his priority is his family, and that he doesn’t hold any ill-will towards Cejudo.
