The Middleweight combatant has one of the most-watched viral videos in the history of MMA. They shared their professional insight into what might be one of the most important skills in MMA.

Joe Rogan is a specialist in MMA, for he gets to witness the best fighters go head to head up close. Therefore, the fans and spectators recognize his opinion and hold it in high regard. Rogan considers grappling to be the most important skill in MMA.

He said, “I think it’s the most important skill in MMA. Because the grappler has the ability to dictate whether the fight stays up or goes to the ground.” According to Joe, the control grappler getting on his opponent during the fight is the most crucial skill to have in MMA.

Rogan gave the example of Bo Nickal being one such great grappler.

They concluded that even though it might come with a bigger cheque, health is everything. Perhaps the price is too much to pay for weighing in the gains in the case of bare-knuckle boxing.

Training in jiu-jitsu, boxing and MMA doesn’t necessarily translate that one will win a brawl on the streets, Joaquin explained. According to him, training in a discipline isn’t enough. One also has to read the body language. One needs to have the mentality to use anything necessary to get out of threats and bad circumstances.
