Kamaru Usman, the number one pound-for-pound fighter in the world, is an absolute powerhouse in the octagon. In his current form, ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ seems absolutely unstoppable. The fighter recently spoke about moving up weight classes to become a double champion and prove himself as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world.

However, he didn’t have any interest in moving up to middleweight. Instead, he said he was planning to go up to light heavyweight and fight Jan Blachowicz back when he was champion. Rashad Evans weighed in on this in a recent interview.

Evans believes that the Nigerian will do well at 205 pounds. He said, “Kamaru [Usman] is one of the most competitive guys out there. He’s got a discipline and work ethic like no other. If he sets his mind to it, he can definitely go in there and do his thing.”

“I mean Kamaru, when he’s in the training room, at 205 [pounds], heavyweight, it don’t matter. He can hang with them all,” added Evans.
