The co-main event of UFC 299 between Dustin Poirier and Benoit Saint-Denis ended up becoming one of the best, if not the best fights of the entire event. Leading up to Poirier’s fight against BSD, Makhachev’s manager seemed to ask “The Diamond” if he was down to fight Makhachev in June. With Poirier winning the fight, it seems likely that the title bout is on the cards.
