Colby Covington and Ian Garry are still trying to combat in UFC with each other, and Garry will not settle for anything lesser. Garry was in Brazil for UFC 301 and he watched other fighters compete, which made him more excited to fight. Over the past month, the undefeated UFC star has made it clear that he is ready to fight Covington. These shouts are louder because Conor McGregor is all set to make a comeback in UFC 303.

Colby Covington is ready to take on Ian Garry

Ian Garry has called out ‘Chaos’ as he is busy hinting at the co-main events in UFC 303, which is being headlined by Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler. Covington and Garry have been head-to-head on social media and Garry posted several videos calling out ‘Chaos’. He challenged Covington and asked if he could be the “cardio-king” and come to UFC 303. He also called Covington a “little whi**”

In the recent interview with Tucker Carlson, Covington talked about this incident and replied calmly. He said, “I think he wants to settle the differences in the Octagon just so happens I like to fight in the Octagon so if it needs to happen one day I’d be honored to settle that.”

‘Chaos’ has also laid out a certain condition if ‘The Future’ wants to fight him. “This kid’s been calling me out. This kid Ian Garry. He’s a nobody… I gave him some stipulations. I said, ‘Hey man, if you wanna fight me you have to show me you’re serious about business,’ because when I do business, I’m serious about it,” Colby Covington said during his appearance on the ‘Twins Pod’.

Meanwhile, let’s take a look at the reason behind Garry’s desperation to take on Covington during UFC 303.

Covington is ranked 4th in the welterweight division at present and he recently lost to Leon Edwards in UFC 296. The 36-year-old has already crossed his prime in the industry and, with his decline in rank, he is a good prospect for Garry. The 7th-ranked fighter will be able to go to the top 5 in the welterweight division.

He also might be an easy fight according to ‘The Future’ and the 26-year-old is at his athletic best with sharp and quick moves. Ian Machado Garry might not be at Edward’s level, but the Irishman can be a good match against the American.
