The final fight before the main event at UFC Vegas 46 will be a heavyweight clash. Jake Collier will take on Chase Sherman in a fight that is guaranteed to be a stand-and-bang fest.
Jake Collier had a great start to his mixed martial arts career. He was 8-1 before the UFC came knocking and signed him. He started his career as a middleweight, then moved up to light heavyweight in 2017. After two fights in that division, he moved up another weight class and became a heavyweight. Despite showing signs of being a success, his UFC career has been a shaky one. He has alternated between wins and losses throughout his time in the promotion and is coming off a split decision loss.

Chase Sherman is one of the hardest hitters in the heavyweight division. ‘The Vanilla Gorilla’ made his second UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 171 against Isaac Villanueva, winning via TKO. He was on a four-fight win streak but has lost his last two fights. He is currently 15-8 in his professional MMA career and will be looking to get back to winning ways.
UFC Vegas 46: Jake Collier vs. Chase Sherman
Collier is someone who has power in his strikes. He can stand and strike with anyone in the division but is always more comfortable just scrapping it out. ‘The Prototype’ is not a true heavyweight, and that is a huge part of the reason why. But he lands his shots at a high rate and doesn’t take that much damage. He would want to time his punches as Sherman gives enough opportunities. Collier can even try to take the fight to the ground to change things up.
