Back in June 2022, Zabit Magomedsharipov, one of the top featherweight contenders in the UFC, retired from mixed martial arts. It was a tough pill to swallow for all of his fans as many wanted to see him rule the division. But as per him, he had a good reason for hanging his gloves. However, it seems that Magomedsharipov’s fans just can’t let him go. They’re constantly asking him to come back to the sport he once loved and excelled in.

Can you blame them, though? Zabit Magomedsharipov was a force to be reckoned with in the octagon, racking up an impressive list of achievements both inside and outside of MMA.

Khabib Nurmagomedov has shared his thoughts on Magomedsharipov’s possible return to the octagon. The retired UFC champion stated that he is excited to see his fellow Dagestani fighter back in action.

He said, “Of course, we are good friends and always talk, but we didn’t discuss his retirement. I think he left because of personal reasons. It’ll be interesting to talk to him about it.”

“Unlike me, he didn’t promise his mother. If you pique his interest, anything is possible. 50/50.” He further added.
