However, in another sparring video, the undefeated UFC fighter made his new training partner tap out.

As per the speculations and some reports, ‘The Haitian Sensation’ will exchange blows with Gilbert Burns at UFC 283 in Jan 2023. Notably, the #12 ranked welterweight fighter is coming with a Performance of Night win over Daniel Rodriguez. But his opponent in Brazil, ‘Durinho’, possesses grappling skills, unlike others.

As fate would have it, the Brazilian fighter lost his last back-and-forth fight against Magny’s newly spotted training partner, Khamzat Chimaev.

Taking learning from the free-style wrestler’s last win, and to tackle his next opponent’s grappling prowess, the 35-year-old approached New York’s 1996-established renowned gym, Renzo Gracie gym.

‘Borz’ is still undefeated in his MMA career and currently holds a perfect record of 12-0. Besides, the Swedish fighter has a reputation for splendid wrestling that he employs effectively in his fighting style.

Chimaev and Magny’s shared history

When the #3 ranked welterweight fighter broke into popularity with the record for the quickest three-win streak in UFC, the American fighter was more than happy to fight him in 2020.

Subsequently, the NYC-born fighter demanded a fight against Chimaev at the UFC Dec. 18 fight card in 2021. Further, Magny declared to drag him into deep water and beat him.

However, the call-outs stretched for a long, but nothing eventually materialized between the two.
