UFC lightweight star Conor McGregor released some training footage ahead of his July 10 UFC outing against Dustin Poirier. ‘The Notorious’ is known for his pre-fight predictions, and he didn’t fail to deliver prior to his rubber match against Poirier. ‘Mystic Mac’ came out with a prediction that he’ll defeat Poirier in the first round via front kick.

Chiefly, the Irishman can be seen training away on the heavy bag, attempting to perfect the aforementioned technique. Championship caliber fighters like Anderson Silva and Lyoto Machida have perfected the lethal front kick to great effect. McGregor will be looking to reproduce similarly devastating results to earn a win in the rubber match.
Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier: Is the fight still on the cards?
While McGregor’s tailor-made preparations are underway, certain events recently transpired that potentially jeopardized the fight. Dustin Poirier came out earlier today and revealed that Conor McGregor didn’t make good on his promise of a charity donation. ‘The Notorious’ had pledged $500,00 to Poirier’s charity following their UFC 257 scrap.

However, things quickly fell apart once Conor McGregor caught wind of Poirier’s social media call-out. An irate McGregor jumped on social media and blasted Dustin Poirier for bringing his integrity into question. What’s more, he went on to say that their fight set for July 10 was off and that he would go in search of a new challenger.
