UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya was delighted after the main event of UFC 270. As his friend Francis Ngannou walked off with the undisputed heavyweight champion strap after defeating interim champion, Ciryl Gane.
‘The StyleBender’ sat with his friends to watch the live coverage of the UFC 270 main event. Here, the Nigerian-born Kiwi was rooting for his fellow African champion, Francis Ngannou. Although the Kiwi looked frustrated in the first two rounds, his emotions settled down when ‘The Predator’ took control of the match in the third round.

Ngannou particularly elated Adesanya when he showed the results of his training camp with fellow UFC champ Kamaru Usman and power slammed ‘Bon Gamin’ onto the ground. The slam sent shock waves down the arena and garnered an awed reaction from ‘The Stylebender’ as well.
Adesanya also praised ‘The Predator’ for showcasing his newfound wrestling skills and Jiu-Jitsu drills in the championship rounds. Where he escaped from Gane‘s Kimura attempts and was also unfazed by the Frenchman’s heel hook.
Francis Ngannou wanted Israel Adesanya to train with him
It is no news that all the three African UFC champs Israel Adesanya, Kamaru Usman, and Francis Ngannou share a great bond. Fans often witnessed the champs backing each other up in the corner or from the audience section.
‘The Predator’ recently revealed that he actually called on ‘The Stylebender’ to help him before his fight with Gane. However, Adesanya couldn’t make it to the camp due to visa restrictions.
