Chiefly, this was Ngannou’s first trip to his home country after becoming the undisputed champion of the world. He has made several trips to Cameroon in the past and shared the experience of his travels with fans.
However, his most recent trip was nothing short of spectacular as the entire Cameroonian community gathered to celebrate Ngannou’s success. ‘The Predator’ was seen going down a procession in Baite, Cameroon, with trails of supporters flocking him. For anyone who has heard Ngannou talk about his dream of returning home with the belt, it truly was a feel-good moment.

It’s clear that Ngannou wants to inspire the people of his home country and serve as a beacon of hope. He’s openly spoken about the hardships he’s faced growing up and he firmly believes that the region needs someone to look up to. However, that fight is not happening. Instead, Lewis will face Ciryl Gane at UFC 265 for an interim title that no one really thought was needed.
