Gillian White and Michael Jai White are celebrating 8 years of togetherness. The couple has found a companion in each other who listens patiently, confides in their vulnerabilities, and is affectionate. The pair have supported their ambitions and share burdens and responsibilities. Therefore, the couple continues to inspire people around them. When Hollywood’s power couple celebrated their anniversary this Monday, the 48-year-old actress recalled their time together that has fed her “heart, mind and soul”.

Notably, the duo tied the knot in Thailand in July 2015. Despite being deeply in love, they had to wait for a while to plan their marriage due to their busy schedules. The opportunity presented itself when both bagged the roles in ‘Never Back Down 3’ and had to shoot in Thailand. After wrapping the shooting, they exchanged vows in the presence of close ones. Since then, the couple has been through thick and thin.

‘The Oval’ lead actress turned to her Instagram handle and penned a long emotional message to her “top chef”. She wrote, “Happy Anniversary to the “top chef” in my life who has fed my heart, mind and soul the fulfilling love that has kept me completely satisfied”.

She felt the American actor had served her the type of love that was “pure”, “authentic”, “deep” and “beautiful”. Reminiscing their time together, she mentioned, “It’s crazy we’ve been in each other’s lives for 27 years”.

In an interview with Rolling Out, the LA native actress revealed they dated back in 1997, but the timing wasn’t right. They ended up parting ways due to a lot unfolding in their lives. Both, however, remained friends and even helped people together during their missionary works. Things fell into place in 2011 when they reunited and after staying together for 4 years, they eventually decided to settle down.

Following this, she called the martial artist-turned-actor her “best friend” and “my ride or die”. She further wrote, “we get each other in every way…my shoulder to lean on…my hand to hold…I got you…and you always got me…through thick and thin…you are my forever and ever, ever and ever, ever! In the words of Fleetwood Mac, “You make loving fun!” @officialmichaeljai ❤️🥰”.

After sharing the silver screen on numerous occasions, the Hollywood couple will now appear in ‘The Island’. She recently described the experience of working alongside as beautiful and revealed she will play the part of an island girl.
