Young Irish prospect Ian Garry just made his UFC debut at UFC 268 and left fans stunned following his spectacular performance. “The Future” faced off against Jordan Williams at the Madison Square Garden in a three-round battle.
Garry got off to a sluggish start, with Williams consistently pressing forward on him and unleashing a series of combinations. The Irishman, who seemed very patient throughout the fight, was reading Williams’ movement. Then, he finally delivered the incredible knockout strike, after evading a combination of punches from his opponent.
Famed Irish fighter Conor McGregor responded to a video of the KO. He wrote, “You little f**kin daisy Ian! The step back, back paw an all ahahahaja just absolutely incredible! Congrats @iangarryMMA”

This indeed is a big win for the 23-year-old who announced himself at the biggest MMA promotion with a massive finish at the most famous arena in the world. The endorsement from ‘The Notorious’ will also propel his career.

Prior to his UFC debut, the youngster held a professional fight record of seven wins to no losses, which has now increased to eight.

In his post-fight interview with Joe Rogan, Garry said,” Now I signed to the UFC. I’m with the best gym on the planet. I have a lot to learn. I’m 23 years of age. We’re gonna be a world champion. We are taking over the division. Joe, a wise Irish man, once said before me. He stepped in this very cage, and he said, we’re not here to take part. We’re here to take over. And this is the take over part-two.”
