Former UFC Bantamweight Champion T.J. Dillashaw recently spoke about the ‘Notorious’ Conor McGregor‘s comeback. The 36-year-old lost in his previous match at UFC 280 against Bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling. Dillashaw, following his loss, then opted for an early retirement due to his injury. However, like most of UFC fans, he still looks forward to the return of ‘The Notorious’ more than ever. Dillashaw explained how the Irishman would never compete with performance-enhancement d*ugs in his system. So, at the end of the day, he will compete when he’s completely healed from his leg injury.

The 36-year-old clarified the severity of McGregor‘s leg injury in his last match. And described it to be a career-ending injury for most athletes. But most athletes aren’t Conor McGregor; he even has the potential to come back much stronger post-injury.

T.J. Dillashaw spoke with former MMA fighter turned comedian Brendan Schaub about the curious case of Conor McGregor. On an episode of Food Truck Diaries, that featured Dillashaw as the guest.

The Former UFC Bantamweight champion believed that McGregor would have an illustrious career if he could heal properly from his devastating injury. However, he also assured that McGregor is right in allowing his body to heal.

Dillashaw said, “If he can heal the right way, he actually has a career – because I mean, you break your leg like that, you might never come back.”

He spoke about McGregor’s off-time since his injury “The guy is in movies, he’s doing all this sh*t, his leg is broken in half, and even if he were to take steroids to recover himself, he can’t compete with it in his system.“

And clarified that Conor McGregor will not “have an advantage from taking what he’s taking.” and validated the belief that the Dublin UFC star has taken supplements to increase his body mass.

Lieutenant Dan expressed that the primary motive behind McGregor’s hiatus is to heal his leg. Because he himself is familiar with career-ending injuries after he suffered one at UFC 280, against bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling. T.J. Dillashaw then called his retirement from UFC due to an injury he had suffered in his last match.

Similarly, Dillashaw believed Conor McGregor to go down the same route. But, the Irishman is persistent in making a comeback. And showed signs of a great recovery after his horrific leg injury. Now, he seems fitter than ever and rearing to go in his recent pictures.
