UFC president Dana White is facing criticism as the Power Slap League continues to lose viewers. Despite receiving feedback from fighters and experts that they are not interested in the sport, White persists in promoting and carrying on with the business. In response to fans’ criticism, he has defended the league, stating that it is not for everyone and that they are not forcing anyone to watch. However, the ongoing scrutiny has led to questions about the future of the league.
Recently, two congressmen wrote an open letter to the parent company of Warner Bros, TBS Network, questioning the company’s role in promoting such a violent and harmful sport as entertainment.
Moreover, Neurologists are also expressing concerns about the dangers of head trauma and long-term issues concerning the sport. Repetitive blows on the face and head can lead to neurological damage, concussion, traumatic brain injuries, and more. However, Dana White believes that his promotion is taking good care of their fighters. Still, it is unclear what steps are they taking to prevent and treat any health-related issues.

Dana White is unfazed by criticism
One of the many undeniable qualities that Dana White has is robustness. It is a testament to his will and determination that he was able to sustain the UFC under heavy criticism. Similarly, the Power Slap League is also under heavy scrutiny. Despite that, the UFC president is intent on proving the haters wrong and making Power Slap League the front-runner of Slap Fighting.
In a recent Instagram post, he promotes his Slap fighting. However, fans are not condoning it. One of the fans wrote, “this sh*t is creatively bankrupt. Also, you’re rich af but spend time bit*hing at people in your comment section. Go do something fulfilling, you have ultimate fu*k you money to do literally anything and you’re reading du*b peoples words.“

Eric Spicely is a former UFC middleweight fighter who now takes part in Power Slap League. Moreover, he revealed that he gets paid a mere $2,000 for his appearance on PSL. If he is to win his fight, he will get an additional $2,000. A PSL commentator recently spoke about this issue. He claims that ‘Road to the title’ doesn’t mean much if the fighters are only paid $2,000.
