The stand-up comedian defended the celebrities, who weren’t aware of the company’s scheme until much later. He asked, “Well, how could they know?… If you’re a celebrity… just like play devil’s advocate…” “If you’re Matt Damon or whoever… Kim Kardashian.”

He stressed that in the modern world, bitcoins have gained legitimacy. The companies involved in bitcoin are involved in major financial activities and own the fact that they have invested in bitcoin. “People are making money with bitcoin, there’s bitcoin billionaires. There’s Coinbase, which is apparently doing very well… There’s bitcoins that are sponsoring sports.” Joe Rogan stated and asked, “So… How would they know?”

Yannis Pappas really burst his bubble with some harsh wisdom

Pappas answered, “Maybe if they turned off their greedy f*cking hat for one second and asked some f*cking questions about what’s actually going on, they woulda known.” “Be like ‘What actually is this?’” and spoke about how he was aware of this due to his intuition.

Celebrities like Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen are among those who openly endorsed FTX. These are vast entities that have millions of followers and can influence people to mass purchase products.

“But, they didn’t. They said ‘Oh, he’s offering me 30 million dollars, so I can endorse them. That’ll make people believe in it more and they’ll invest in it.” Pappas said predicting the strategies of the celebrities involved.

Joe Rogan finally admitted, “Yeah, it’s slippery. It is definitely slippery”
