Arnold Schwarzenegger has a last name that doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue. And UFC’s Joe Rogan once had a tough time pronouncing it. In an older episode of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience‘, the Spotify podcaster discussed the actor with his guest, Alexis Ohanian.

The comedian agrees with the fact that the bodybuilder ‘made it despite his last name being difficult to pronounce. In fact, before discussing Schwarzenegger, both personalities spoke about how bizarre the English language was. This resulted in them discussing a few difficult-to-pronounce names.

In episode #484 of the JRE podcast with Ohanian, the co-founder of ‘Reddit’, Joe Rogan and his guest spoke of inconsistencies in the language, especially when dealing with a foreign name.

He took a moment to point out, “That’s one of the reasons where you got to give Schwarzenegger his props. That’s a bold goddamn move. The guy owns Schwarzenegger, Arnold.”

In the glamour industry, actors often change their name in favor of something that rolls off the tongue easier. For example, Vin Diesel’s birth name was Mark Sinclair. He felt that ‘Vin Diesel’ sounded more like an action hero, and one can’t blame him for that.

But sticking to his birth name, Arnold Schwarzenegger, in an industry like Hollywood, was not something different from the huge stunts fans see him accomplishing in his big action films.

While in the same vein, the comedian remembered a classic comedy show character who shared his first name with the former Mr. Olympia.

The comedian added, “Arnold is f**ing, that’s the kid from different strokes. You know, I mean, it’s not the most manliest bodybuilder ever.” Rogan added referring to the late 70s sit-com ‘Different Strokes’, starring Gary Coleman as Arnold Jackson.

He mentioned it because Arnold from the show gives a whole other vibe when compared to ‘The Terminator’ star.

To which the UFC commentator responds, “F*** yeah…”.

Schwarzenegger has been in the industry for a long time and shows no signs of slowing down. His current net worth is $450 million.

The action star, who hails from Austria, has always been a favorite for the box-office numbers. Raking in huge numbers for his blockbuster films such as ‘The Terminator’, ‘Terminator 2: The Judgement Day’.
