The World Wrestling Entertainment got done with one of its biggest Premium Live Events of the year, the Royal Rumble. It is the first event on the road to WrestleMania and there are always huge expectations of it. The main highlights of the show were the women’s and men’s Royal Rumble matches.
In the women’s Royal Rumble, the former UFC women’s bantamweight champion, Ronda Rousey, made a surprise return. This was her first WWE appearance in almost three years. She entered the match at number 28 and went on to win it all. This gave her the option to fight for any title at this year’s WrestleMania.
The Raw women’s champion, Becky Lynch, had some advice for Rousey. During an interview with Ariel Helwani after defending her title, she said, “Here’s the thing Ariel, she hasn’t done this in three years. I don’t know that she’s gonna wanna go into the full meal. You know what I mean? Sometimes you have to warm up to these things. Have a little bowl of Gazpacho, maybe a little melon bowl appetizer.”

“So maybe she’ll go for a melon bowl appetizer before getting into the main course. That’s what I would do if I was her, but we’ll see what she does.”
When ‘Rowdy‘ last entered the WWE ring, she lost her Raw women’s title at WrestleMania 35. It was in a triple threat match against Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair, where Lynch ended up winning the title.
