Dwayne Johnson is massively famous in the realm of social media. His fan following has been increasing day by day with social media being the forefront reason behind it. With a massive 390 million followers on Instagram. ‘The Rock’ is one of the most followed men on the face of the earth. However, you will be surprised to know that there was a time when ‘The Rock’ was not interested in opening a social media account and UFC CEO Dana White persuaded him to change his mind.

Recently Dana white indulged in a conversation with renowned broadcaster Piers Morgan. While having the conversation he talked about his experience with Dwayne Johnson and how he persuaded him to use social media.

Dwyane ‘The Rock’ Johnson is probably one of the most well-known and celebrated celebrities in the whole world. Johnson has been very active and dedicated in whatever career he chooses for himself. He is one of the few individuals who have found success in most ventures he has ventured into, from the WWE to Hollywood. His success has accumulated a lot of followers on social media, with a fan following of 390 million on Instagram, He is one of the most followed people on earth. However, there was a time when Johnson was not interested in social media and it was Dana White who persuaded him into the digital realm.

Dana White, in a recent interview with Piers Morgan, mentioned how he persuaded ‘The Rock’ to set up a social media account. White expressed “The rock didn’t want to be on social media and I said, ‘You’re crazy.’ I said, ‘Do you know how big you’ll be on social media?’ I kind of explained it to him from a business perspective on why he should do it and I actually set him up with my social media team and they got him started and got them going and I mean the guy is an absolute juggernaut now on social media so yeah.”

White also shared his perspective on the negatives and positives of social media. He acknowledged that social media is both a boon and a bane for human society. White stated “Yeah I think there are a lot of negative things in this world that if you focus on that type of stuff and if you’re not tough enough and if you’re not hard enough for it, let me tell you what. If your feelings get hurt easily you should stay as far away from social media as possible.”

He also emphasized that the inception of social media has been great for business for marketing. He further added “Social media is one of the greatest marketing tools of all time right and what you have to understand is you have to embrace the negativity too”
