During a back-and-forth with Israel Adesanya, Jon Jones validated a long-standing rumor about him. Despite Jones confessing something that has been a part of MMA lore for years, Jan Blachowicz doesn’t really trust the former 205-pounds champ.
The beef between Jones and Adesanya is an open secret. The two have mounted a pile of tweets while engaging in a social media back-and-forth. During one such occasion, Jones accepted that he once hid underneath a cage at Jackson Wink MMA. He did so to hide from a sample collector from the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC).
Brother explain your titty 🥴 I was hiding from Nevada state Athletic Commission, not USADA and that was years ago.. I had just smoked a blunt and was afraid I would fail my test for weed 🤷🏾♂️ that’s the actual truth 😁Now everyone knows everyone

Jones had “just smoked a blunt” and was afraid that he would fail the drug test. However, what doesn’t fit in the story is that cannabis is only prohibited in-competition. This means that the fighters can use them while they don’t have a fight coming up.
When current light-heavyweight champ Jan Blachowicz was asked about the same, he blasted Jon Jones for lying.
“Who believes Jones what he says? Nobody. He lies all the time. I think even he doesn’t know when he said true or when he lied. I don’t believe him at all,” Blachowicz said while talking to SCMP MMA.
Jan Blachowicz doesn’t mind a number one contender fight between Jon Jones and Israel Adesanya
Blachowicz became the 205-pounds champ after he edged past Dominick Reyes at UFC 253. Ever since his win, Israel Adesanya has been talking about a move up to light heavyweight. While Dana White has confirmed a fight between the two, Blachowicz won’t mind the idea of Jones and Adesanya fighting for a shot at his title.
“I can beat both of them. I’m gonna be ready for Jones, Adesanya, Thiago, Glover. I beat all of them,” a confident Blachowicz said.

Jon Jones is currently bulking up for a move up to heavyweight. Having reigned over the 205-pounds division for a long time, Jones now has his eyes set on heavyweight gold. If he wins, along with Adesanya, the possibility of a mega-fight between the two will make a ton of sense in the future.

However, the road for either of them will not be easy. Standing in front of Jones will be the most successful UFC heavyweight champ of all in Stipe Miocic. On the other hand, Adesanya will have to overcome the ‘legendary Polish power’ of Jan Blachowicz.
