Aaron Rodgers Rips Media For Taking Advantage of Him: “They Couldn’t Get Past the Years of Friendship and Me Doing Favors For Them”

The Green Bay Packers QB, Aaron Rodgers, makes headlines whenever he speaks. This time, he conversed with the well-known UFC commentator, Joe Rogan. And surely everyone waited for a long time to see these two chat and catch up. On the three-hour-long podcast, A-Rod talked about various experiences he had. Also, he opened up about the time reporters and the media, in general, took advantage of him.

On the podcast, the MVP-award winner talked about COVID-19 and the vaccination debacle. He revealed he requested an exemption from the league’s vaccination requirement. Instead, he wanted to follow an alternative homeopathic immunization process. Which got rejected. Then followed the debacle for Rodgers.

During that time, he was surrounded with controversy. It seemed like the media was annihilating him. Rodgers said, “Yeah, someone who used my name long time to stay on some of the networks. And you never forget, you know I think the interesting thing to see for me is to see how it change. Whether…and how my vaccination status, uh, they could not get past that; they couldn’t get past the years of friendship and me doing favors for them.”

While talking about the vaccination status, Aaron Rodgers revealed that he is allergic to polyethylene glycol, or PEG. They are active in Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. Owing to this, the Packer QB lied to the reporters. He called himself “immunized.”

The adverse publicity resulted in him getting 49 out of 50 votes when he was nominated to win the MVP 2021 award. He said, “So I’d been ready the entire time for this question and had thought about how I wanted to answer it. I had come to the conclusion that I was going to say, ‘I’ve been immunized’ and if there was a follow-up, then talk about my process. But I thought there was a possibility that, I say I’m immunized, maybe they understand what that means, maybe they don’t, maybe they follow up. They didn’t follow up.”

So, Rodgers knew all along that he will have to explain himself better in the future. However, the QB was cut off from his reporter friends on whom he did several favors, like appearing on an interview or recording a sound bite.
