Lewis landed a flurry of strikes that Daukaus initially survived, however, he soon crumbled under the pressure after a second flurry.
Derrick Lewis is now the record holder of perhaps one of the most lucrative records in combat sports. Going into this fight, ‘The Black Beast’ was tied with Matt Brown for the most number of KOs at 12. However, with his recent demolition of Daukaus, Derrick Lewis is now the sole KO king with 13 knockouts in the UFC.

‘The Black Beast’ put on a memorable display yet again and his fight against Chris Daukaus didn’t even make it out of round one. The end came at 3:36 of round one and has helped Lewis bounce back from his loss to Ciryl Gane. He managed to close out the year on a strong note after losing an opportunity at the interim strap.
Derrick Lewis doing Derrick Lewis things! Dude is devastating when he gets his hands on you.

Derrick Lewis had no business being a betting underdog against a guy who made his UFC debut in August of 2020. Love me some Chris Daukaus…bullish on his future…but he was facing the most accomplished KO artist in UFC heavyweight history! Careful out there.
