One of the comments she shared read, “That’s a man.” In response, Tara didn’t hold back, writing, “THESE COMMENTS USED TO HURT BUT NOW I LOVE THEM. WOMEN HAVE MUSCLES TOO, IDIOTS. IF I WAS A MAN I HOPE ID BE JUMPING 8.70M + BUT IM NOT SO 7M+ WOULD DO.”

However, the hate didn’t stop there. She also shared a picture of another hurtful comment that read, “You so beautiful I can barely see your mustache.” In her response, the 2024 World Indoor Champion in women’s long jump, Tara Davis-Woodhall, clapped back, saying sarcastically, “DAMN TIME FOR A LASER TOUCH UP THEN… AT LEAST I’M BEAUTIFUL.”

Despite being the World Indoor Champion and representing the USA at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, the comments made about her looks were distasteful. Rather than focusing on her work as an athlete, haters directed their attention toward her appearance. However, Tara graciously shut down the hate, highlighting her achievements and surpassing any beauty standard. But that’s not all! It’s admirable to see Tara Davis-Woodhall not only standing up to her haters but also to those criticizing her husband.

How she defended her husband, Hunter Woodhall, over disability hate

On April 9, 2024, U.S. Paralympics Track & Field and Hunter Woodhall posted a reel on Instagram showcasing a snippet of Hunter’s epic men’s 100-meter T62 Americas Record from the 2024 U.S. Paralympics Track & Field National Championships. Hunter broke the 100-meter T62 America’s record at the event with an impressive time of 11.00 seconds.

Despite this remarkable achievement, hateful comments mocking his disability flooded in. One commenter wrote, “Bro….. he has no calves to get sore or tired,” while another said, “Of course he’s fast, his legs don’t get tired.” In a staunch defense of her husband, Tara Davis-Woodhall stood up for him, writing sternly, “Does anyone else want to comment about hunter? meet me in my DMs… the ops are watching.”

Later, she even took to her Instagram stories once more, stating, “tired of the uneducated noobs who think is funny to “joke.”” With her strong defense and willingness to stand up for what is right, Tara Davis-Woodhall has won the hearts of countless fans, and we applaud her advocacy.
