Bodybuilding legend Arnold Schwarzenegger, who is a seven-time Mr. Olympia winner, once revealed how he was cast for a film much earlier than he had first expected. He shared the entire story about how he got into movies.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is a name that needs no introduction when it comes to bodybuilding as well as acting. He has had an extremely successful bodybuilding as well as an acting career for around five decades now. The Terminator actor also had a long political career. He even served as the governor of California from 2003 to 2011.

Arnold Schwarzenegger became an actor within six months of coming to the United States!

Arnold Schwarzenegger had a dream of coming to the United States and becoming a renowned professional bodybuilder, followed by taking a sting in acting. However, the second part happened much sooner than he would have initially thought. 

Talking about the same, he said, “That second part came together much faster than he’d planned or expected when six months after coming to the U.S., muscle mag publisher Joe Weider called to tell him, ‘They’re looking for a star in a Hercules movie. I recommended that you were the best.'”

Elaborating more on the incident, “Schwarzenegger laughingly recalled that Weider sold him as a “‘German Shakespearean actor’ — there’s no such thing!”

This way, Schwarzenegger got into acting real soon and much sooner than what he had initially planned. There was no looking back after this film. He went on to become a successful Hollywood actor.

Schwarzenegger is an investor for many decades now and has made many large investments in ventures that have turned hugely successful. The 7-time Mr. Olympia also has several successful investments in real-estate holding companies. In addition, he has also invested in a shopping mall in Columbus.
