Arnold Schwarzenegger brings a daily dose of wellness to his fans through his positive corner, The Pump Daily. In his latest newsletter update, Schwarzenegger raised awareness against the myths surrounding gluten-rich diets. Gluten is a natural protein found in grains like barley, wheat, rye, etc. While it is only harmful to those with celiac disease, with time gluten has received too much negative attention.

This has led to people believing that this protein is responsible for many health hazards. However, there has been no substantial evidence to support the claim. Contrary to popular belief, Arnold Schwarzenegger claims that gluten has been misjudged all along. He cited the results of a scientific study to support his claim.

On 16th February 2023, Arnold Schwarzenegger published the latest edition of his newsletter, The Pump Daily, titled “The amazing stress-eating trick.” They divided the newsletter into three sections. In the first one, Schwarzenegger claimed that “we owe gluten an apology.” Starting on a light note, he wrote, “Gluten needs a new PR team.”

Then, he mentioned how for decades people have wrongly feared gluten. He adds, “The latest research suggests gluten is likely not the cause of many stomach problems and IBS; the real culprit is probably fructans, a carbohydrate source often found in grains, vegetables, and some ultra-processed foods.”

Supporting his claim Schwarzenegger shared that a study has revealed there is no difference in GI issues after consuming a placebo diet and a gluten diet. However, there was a drastic increase after consuming FOODMAPS-rich food. Lastly, he stated that if one wants to avoid gluten, then one may do so. However, Schwarzenegger advised it was better to take a diet with lower FOODMAPS. Arnold Schwarzenegger constantly uses his daily newsletter to share vital information with his readers.

Arnie says no to plant-based milk

In another edition of his newsletter, Arnold Schwarzenegger stated that plant-based milk isn’t as effective as the companies claim. He clarified that he does not mean to say that they are bad for the health. However, they are not as nutritious as the creators make the consumers believe. Moreover, they are certainly not more nutritious than cow’s milk.

Instead, only 20% of plant-based milk contains the required protein content. Additionally, just 7% of these products pass as the best in class for sugar and protein. Understanding that some of his readers are lactose intolerant, he provided a solution to boost the nutritional value of plant-based milk. He advised such readers to opt for a product that has low-sugar content.
