Logan Paul, the YouTube sensation turned professional boxer, is no stranger to blood and sweat. Wherever he goes, controversies follow him. But when Dillon Danis, the mixed martial arts fighter, staged together before the fight, eyes were glued to their fiery exchange. The pre-match press conference was supposed to be a routine affair, a chance for the fighters to exchange some friendly banter before the clash.

But things took an unexpected turn from here. The fight set in even before the boxers set foot in the rings. While the incident left Logan bleeding, Dave Portnoy found some element of excitement in it.

The on-stage feud got Dave Portnoy hooked

Dave Portnoy, the founder of Barstool Sports is known to be an avid fan of both fighters. Post the press conference run in between Logan and Dillon, Portnoy took to Twitter with his thoughts. Reposting a clip of the press conference, he came up with a one-liner that told it all. Okay now maybe I gotta watch the fight“, Portnoy wrote. Dave seemed to have kept keen interest as the stakes got higher. 

In the video, Logan Paul threw a bottle at Dillon in rage and stood up to get it face-to-face. Dillon Danis was not to back off as the heat escalated between the two, he then threw the mic straight to Logan Paul’s face, leaving him bleeding. Logan chose to hide his face after the incident and speculations are high that he might have had a serious injury. However, the feud has its roots much deeper than imagined.

After-effects of a personal dispute

The lead-up to the eagerly awaited battle between Logan Paul and Dillon Danis has been overshadowed by a lawsuit brought forth by Paul’s fiancée, Nina Agdal. She alleged that Danis had shared several ‘objectionable’ pictures of her on his X account in the months before the fight. Agdal said the ordeal caused her emotional distress, humiliation, and reputational harm. The lawsuit quotes that Dillon Danis used Agdal’s past relationships to promote the fight against Paul, which added fuel to the fire.
