Among many who predicted their triumph, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce was one who backed the North London giants for a win.

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce gets her predictions spot on

As Fraser-Pryce is an ardent follower of the Arsenal football club, it is no surprise that she always tweets about their games. Thus, her tweet ahead of the Derby shows her confidence in the rather underperforming squad, while also taking shots at arch-rivals, Tottenham. Safe to say, she is a true Gunner.

The North London Derbies have produced some sensational matches over the years. Thus, Fraser-Pryce looked confident about her team and must have surely loved that win over the weekend. Being in Jamaica, the sprinter spoke about how she loves the club and has had tussles with her husband with both claiming their respective clubs to be the best out there.

She is a huge Thierry Henry fan, who was present in the stands during the North London Derby himself.

The Olympic sprinter once again proves that age is just a number. After claiming the silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics 2020, Fraser-Pryce wishes to compete more and continue to set the track ablaze. In the recent Athletissima meeting, Fraser-Pryce ran the 100-meters with Thompson-Herah and took home the gold by setting the third-fastest time in women’s 100-meters competition.

However, soon after her athletic career is over, she wishes to play for the Gunners.

“When I’m retired I’ll come and try out for the Arsenal Ladies team. And who knows, maybe I’ll get in just by speed alone. I’ll play forward, as long as everybody else passes me the ball. That’s fine, I’ll do that. I think I’ll work good running the flank too!,” said Fraser-Pryce.
