When the two met for the first time at their University, they could have hardly anticipated the future. Unlike others, for them, it was not love at first sight. George saw Claire in the parking lot and was instantly smitten by her. As he approached her for the talks, he knew making a place in her heart wouldn’t be the easiest thing. Before they began dating, Calire, as George recalled in his proposal video, had friend-zoned him for eight months.

However, the two soon found common grounds to talk about. They soon started dating and eventually fell head over heels in love. On August 10th, 2018, George decided to propose to her. Robbing his NFL team 49ers for the plan, he successfully tricked Claire into attending the photo session. Much to her surprise, he popped her the key question; getting yes for an answer, George was more than elated.

One year after the engagement, the couple shocked their fans when they posted their out-of-the-blue nuptials in April 2019. They held the ceremony at a family friend’s jewelry store in Iowa City. An unusual choice for a wedding, it was done in honor of the promise ring that George got her from their back in 2017. But with their 2019 ceremony, the couple was not done with their wedding festivities. Two years later, they again decided to renew their vow.

Renewing the vows again 

When in 2019, George and Claire married; it was not a lavish affair. It was all done in haste, as Claire recalled, “We knew football was starting up again, and Lord knows nothing but football gets done during football season. So we pulled the trigger and planned this wedding in a week.” Thus, to celebrate the joyous occasion with friends and family, they decided to exchange vows again.

Though they initially planned the wedding in June 2020, the plans were derailed by the Covid-19 pandemic. So exactly two years after their first wedding, the couple decided to have another ceremony. They made arrangements in the backyard of their Nashville home. Walking down the aisle again, in front of 32 guests, the couple exchanged their vows and embarked on their journey together.

The couple is now happily married and is going strong in their relationship. They remain active on social media and keep sharing their pictures.
