In his autobiography ‘Never Grow Up’, Jackie Chan spoke about how he did his own stunts, which made him famous. During an interview with The Free Library, Jackie spoke openly about his stuntman days and a trick so that people don’t imitate his crazy stunts.

When Jackie Chan made surprising revelations about his stunts

The legendary actor revealed that to prevent people from trying his stunts, he put the outtakes of his stunts towards the movie’s end. These outtakes have shown how Jackie got hurt doing the stunts. Chan also told his motive for displaying these outtakes to his audience. “To show them that this isn’t a cartoon,” Chan said.

The popular actor also spoke about an argument with his director regarding a stunt in his autobiography. For the stunt, the main male character had to fall from a balcony with his back toward the ground. Then, the actor had to flip in the air and land smoothly on the ground. A director said that a wire was required to do this stunt. However, Chan, confidently, spoke that he would do the stunt without a wire and did it perfectly.

In his book ‘I am Jackie Chan’, Chan also made surprising statements about his dangerous stunts. He said that while many people thought him fearless for doing such stunts, this wasn’t true. “Of course I’m scared, I’m not Superman,” Chan spoke.

During another interview, Chan told how he knew nothing about camera angles during his early stuntman days. He also told about how he saw the stunt coordinator and learned a lot from him.

Jackie is currently a part of a collaboration with the director Stanley Tong. The legendary actor also looks after the affairs of his own production company, JCE Movies Limited. Chan also has his own clothes company, ‘The Jackie Chan Design Store.’
