In the world of track and field, Allyson Felix stands as the most decorated female Olympian in track and field. The retired legend has even been included in Time magazine’s “100 Most Influential People” of 2020 and even 2021. Since her retirement after her 2022 season, Felix has kept herself busy embracing the roles of impending motherhood, devoted wife, and continued advocacy for the sport.

Fast forward two years post-retirement, and Felix was on a “Babymoon” adventure with her husband in none other than Jamaica, and, in heartwarming surprise, she shares the unexpected love she received from fans.

In an Instagram post by the Olympic icon, Allyson Felix shared an update on her “babymoon” with her husband, Kenneth Ferguson, before their little one arrived. Sharing a five-image carousel with her man where they were seen soaking up their Caribbean escapade, she penned in the caption, “22 years ago I went Jamaica for the World Junior Championships and met my now husband on that team. I also fell in love with the incredible people and the beautiful country. “

In a touching revelation, Felix recounted how, despite competing against Jamaican athletes during the championships, she felt embraced and valued by the passionate Jamaican fans, even amidst the fervor of competition. In response to this endearing post, Jamaican fans flooded the comment section of her post, bestowing on her all their love.

Track fans of both Allyson Felix and Kenneth Ferguson took to the comment section, gushing about their love for the icon. One fan wrote humorously, explaining, “Loll Girl we cheered against you when you competed against a Jamaican…. But believe me when I say Jamaicans love you Coming from a Jamaican 🇯🇲🇯🇲.”

While another person chimed in, saying, “Jamaicans love you when our girls not competing in the same race. I’ve always admired your humility and humbleness.” Another fan also sharing the same sentiment wrote, “Jamaicans love you! We absolutely adore you trust that!!!”  Another kind person welcomed the couple wholeheartedly, saying, “I’m sure you’re having a great time, Welcome home.”
