Alpine skiing champion Lindsey Vonn continues to inspire after retirement. To transform fashion in snow sports, Vonn has collaborated with various brands like Gucci and HEAD Sportswear. In an interview with the popular fashion magazine Elle, Vonn made an unexpected admission about Lewis Hamilton. Describing her perspective of Hamilton’s fashion sense, Vonn gave Hamilton an unexpected compliment.
Vonn’s opinion is surprising as the F1 racing champion has been involved in various controversies about his fashion sense. After the FIA banned jewelry while racing, Hamilton gave his response by wearing 3 watches, 8 rings, 4 necklaces, and 2 earrings at a press conference. Not only this, but he also once remarked about having piercings, which he couldn’t remove (which he later refuted). Vonn spoke about Hamilton when asked about her favorite style icon. Along with her views on Hamilton, Vonn also spoke about her fashion style.

“Lewis Hamilton is really forward-thinking in everything he does,” Vonn stated. Continuing, Vonn expressed, “I like how he pushes the envelope.” This refers to how Hamilton likes to experiment with unconventional fashions and bold patterns while arriving at racing events.

Later, Vonn implied that she was inspired by the fact Hamilton takes risks with his fashion. However, in contrast to Hamilton, Vonn admitted, “I’m a little more conservative, but I like trying new things and seeing what’s possible.”
Afterwards, Vonn also described her fashion style as “monochromatic.” Further, she remarked, “I love the blended athleisure and high fashion look.” Athleisure refers to sporty and comfortable fashion, which can be used for daily wear. Vonn then related how she preferred cashmere loungewear. Along with this, she also disclosed that she did her shopping from Albright in the city of New York.

Vonn narrated how she dressed up badly at a 2010 event at ESPYS. “I think I looked at least 15 years older than I actually was,” Vonn recalled.
Further elaborating, Vonn explained how her hair was fastened tightly as a bun. She later realized that it did not look fashionable. Vonn then honestly criticized herself, saying that she looked like a grandmother.
