The sensational Mikaela Shiffrin is an inspiration to all. Being an Olympic gold medalist, Shiffrin focuses on the meaningful things in life. After not having a memorable 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, she returned to the competitions and won her fourth overall World Cup title. Yet, her outstanding achievement would be the Jeff Shiffrin Athlete Resiliency Fund.
Her dad passed away after an accident in 2019 and left behind mental scars. Likewise, she always speaks highly about him and relaunched the Fund on Father’s Day. Their focus is to give out need-based, direct funding for national team athletes, helping them reach their goals and objectives. It is a great initiative.

Mikaela Shiffrin misses her dad
Since these two teamed together, Jeff Shiffrin had a telling influence on her career. He was her photographer during the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics, as she has three Olympic medals in her career. But when the accident happened, she couldn’t believe what happened and was at a loss for words. After a lengthy absence from the sport, she returned to competition, and even though her Beijing Olympics was a disappointment, she won the World Cup.
It ties her up with the famous Lindsey Vonn as she aims to claim her fifth title next season. It is great to see her compete at the highest level, and Shiffrin has unfinished business. As for the funds given out to athletes, it is just a great initiative from the talented skier.
