Aleksander Aamodt Kilde emerged as the champion in Kitzbuhel at the 2023 World Cup under the Men’s downhill category on the 22nd of January, 2023. He aced the race within a time period of 1 hour, 56 minutes, and 90 seconds. Quite some speed!

It was a great victory for the Norwegian athlete. And guess who got there to congratulate him? Instagram and TikTok personality, Khabane “Khaby” Lame. Khaby congratulated the athlete for his victory by posting a picture of them together at the event along with a grand caption, per his Instagram story.

In a recent Instagram update, the Senegalese-Italian sensation commended Kilde for his significant win at the Kitzbuhel World Cup. He posted a picture that featured the two of them holding the glorious trophy. Additionally, he put in a flattering caption for the pro skier. 

“Coming down from these mountains, with indescribable speed, I had never seen such a thing in my life. You are simply a monster”, his caption read. The comic influencer was seemingly awestruck by the Olympian’s abilities and decided to acclaim him in front of his massive 79.9 million Instagram followers.

After mentioning Kilde, he further added a “Legend” beside his name. Acknowledging the appreciation, the Olympian re-shared the story on his platform as well. Nonetheless, Khaby wasn’t the only one to hail his success. 

Arnold Schwarzenegger watched the Norwegian surfer’s grand race. 

As per a tweet by Eurosport, bodybuilding legend, Arnold Schwarzenegger was seen conversing with the champion after the race alongside the stands. The sources shared pictures of the duo and captioned it as, “A very special guest today in Kitzbuhel.”

Moreover, Kilde re-tweeted the post with a rather amusing caption. He wrote, “Hahnenkamm: I’ll be back,” referring to the Austrian Oak’s signature dialogue from his action hit, Terminator. Among others, Alpine skiing pioneer, Lindsey Vonn also congratulated the athlete on the occasion.

Kilde’s conquest was certainly a star-studded affair. While his seamless performance was actually commendable. We are guessing how delighted partner and 4x World cup champ, Mikaela Shiffrin might be.
