While most clubs keep improving their performances, Manchester United looked far from good last night. After appointing Ralf Rangnick, the current squad is finding it hard to adhere to his ‘Gegenpressing’ methods; either that or the players are lacking understandable ambition and motivation. This has caused even the hardcore fans like Usain Bolt to question the team’s mentality.

In their EPL clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers last night, United lacked the cutting edge to bag an equalizer, let alone a winner. Now, Bolt took to Twitter, expressing his emotions on yesterday’s mishap at Old Trafford.

Usain Bolt express disappointment with Manchester United

The game filled with Portuguese talents did not fail to impress. However, not Cristiano Ronaldo but his counterpart veteran Joao Moutinho shot the ball into the net in the 82nd minute to give Wolves their first victory at Old Trafford since 1980. To sum up, like most fans, Bolt posted his disappointment on Twitter, stating how the New Year has changed nothing for the club. Bolt said, “New year same pain.”

The legendary athlete has attended many games since CR7 returned to the club. Once, he was pictured having a conversation with former boss Sir Alex Ferguson and UFC fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov. After all the hype and happiness at the club during that time, things have now turned sour for United.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s poor run of results resulted in him getting sacked as the apostle of ‘Gegenpressing’ took over the reins. But the club is still on a downward spiral, in desperate need of some success.

Out of all the superstars for United, it was defender Phil Jones who came up with the goods for the team. Missing nearly two years with injury, he provided solidarity at the back for United.

United midfielder Bruno Fernandes, dubbed to be the leader of the club, failed to get things started either. He had a simple tap in that he crashed into the bar. As for Ronaldo, he looked unhappy with the state of the squad.
