Even today, he is the current world record holder for the 100 and 200-meter competitions. However, having retired and put this success behind him years ago, does he miss the track? Significantly, he is a family man now and looks to focus on his family life. He has three kids and loves to spend time with them. Recently, Bolt talked about not returning to athletics and how he does not miss running.

Usain Bolt loves to spend time with his family
Gone are those days when he raced past opponents and challenged the best. His aim is now to be a great father for his kids. With his partner Kasi Bennett, he has three kids; His daughter, Olympia Lightning Bolt, and his twins he welcomed into his family last year. The two boys are named ThunderBolt and Saint Leo Bolt.
Bolt has a larger-than-life personality. However, he now wants to spend his time with family, and forget about the old-fashioned hard work he put into his career.

“To tell the truth, now I am focused on being a good father and supporting athletics in different ways. I don’t miss running and much less training. What I do miss is feeling the energy of the spectators,” said Bolt.

With all those medals around his neck, Bolt retired after his hamstring injury in 2017 and decided not to return. After his athletic career, he ventured into his other interest; from playing professional soccer in Australia to producing a music album, Bolt did it all.

A legacy to remember
While most athletes go into coaching or stay within the sport, Bolt had other ideas. He loves music and last year, he launched his first album named ‘Country Yutes’, which has risen to the top of the music charts. Furthermore, he wants to release new albums apart from this one.

Being a family man is something he wishes for and who knows, we may see his kids become world-class athletes in the future. However, while that is a thing for the future, the present is this; Bolt might not return to the track after all.
