Andre De Grasse wears Ryan Reynolds’ sweater

Back when Jackman and Gyllenhaal hosted a party, the theme of the party made people wear ugly sweaters. However, Reynolds came wearing a sweater with a big gold ribbon tie that many believe looked both hilarious and hideous. But, the actor turned that into something positive as he used that sweater to raise money for Toronto’s SickKids Foundation. It featured an animation video while the campaign fetched more than $300,000. This year, the Tokyo Olympics champion De Grasse wore that same sweater as he contributed to the foundation.

As De Grasse donned the sweater, he made a contribution to the foundation. Undoubtedly, a great initiative from a legendary actor and a star athlete playing his part as well.

A glorious campaign

In the video he released, Ryan talked about donating sweaters to not only kids but also to doctors and nurses, recognizing their hard work. The video shows different nursing staff receiving sweaters from Reynolds as a part of the campaign. He spoke about how he wanted to help kids out by releasing the sweater.

“The past couple of years my beloved, yet aesthetically challenged, holiday sweater has become a symbol for how much we all care about children and SickKids hospital. But this year, I want to recognize the doctors and nurses too. And that means that, with all due respect to a certain iconic trio from the 90s, I do want scrubs,” said Reynolds.
