New York Yankees owner gives a strong statement on Carlos’ past controversy
Earlier, New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone had praised Correa for his talents. Notably, when he was asked if was bothered by Carlos’ 2017 controversy with Houston Astros, he had strongly replied, “No.”

“But, you know, people have the opinion that they want to have about that particular player,” he said. “But, in general, we’re going to look at every single option. It’s the same thing we do every year,” he further added.
It looks like New York Yankees are positive about signing Carlos Correa, regardless of everything. However, are they going to ignore Correa’s comment on Derek Jeter as well?

Carlos Correa’s comments on Derek Jeter
In a recent conversation with ‘Me Gustan Los Deportes podcast,’ Carlos had made a shocking statement on New York Yankees legend, Derek Jeter. Correa had said, “Derek Jeter didn’t deserve any of the Golden Gloves he won.” Well, that was a huge statement against a five-time Gold Glove winner. However, it might also be considered as Carlos’ personal opinion.
In 2021, the Yankees missed out on the World Series opportunity, and they would want to put their best foot forward in 2022. If Corey Seager will go to Los Angeles Dodgers, Carlos Correa will be the best option left in top free agents.
